Joseph Pesek received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from the University of Illinois, Urbana and his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles. He did a one-year postdoctoral fellowship at UCLA before becoming Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Northern Illinois University. He moved to San Jose State University becoming Professor of Chemistry and has also served as Department Chair, and Dean for Graduate Studies and Research. He has over 225 publications, 3 books, 4 patents and has made over 200 presentations at a variety of symposia and meetings. He is one of the editors for the Journal of Separation Science.

Employed at Polymer Institute, Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava. Served as elected member of the Presidium of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, President of the Slovak Chemical Society, Chairman of the Czecho-Slovak and Slovak National Committee of Chemistry for IUPAC. Corresponding member of the Central European Academy of Sciences and member of the Learned Society of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. She received her PhD from Oita University in Oita, Japan and completed postdoctoral studies from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. Dr Kamberi has over 25 years of pharmaceutical experience with increasing levels of responsibility across functional disciplines including analytical R&D, bioanalytical, pre-clinical research, quality control and stability. She is currently the director of Analytical Chemistry, Bioanalytical, Stability at Abbott Vascular in Santa Clara, California, a worldwide premier medical device organization. Marika is author/co-author of more than 50 papers published in peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters, and of 10 US patents.

Rudolf Kapeller received his Dr. phil.in Chemistry from the University of Innsbruck. He worked as Analytical Chemist at the Bundesstaatliche bakt.-serol. Untersuchungsanstalt and since 8/1985 at the Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety – Institute for Food Safety in Linz; from 5/1996 to 12/2015 as Head of the institute. He has been the author of various publications in the field of analytical chemistry and food safety.

Dr. Farid Menaa (Bsc. Eng., Bsc. Bio., Msc. Genetics, Master Gerontology/Geriatry, PhD Radiation Oncology and Gerontology, EMBA Entrepreneurship and MD candidate), is an inter- and multi-disciplinary professional. Professor, Principal Investigator, Director, Consultant Editor, Reviewer, Event Organizer and Entrepreneur, Dr. Menaa earned his degrees with highest distinctions from prestigious French universities and institutions. Dr. Menaa followed a post-doctoral in Oncology as a NIH-fellow (San Diego, California, USA; 2004-2007). Subsequently, Dr. Menaa pursed his career in Dermatology, and Stem Cells as a DFG-Fellow (Wuerzburg, Germany; 2007–2009). Then, Dr. Menaa was promoted as Chief Scientific Officer and Vice-President R&D at Fluorotronics, Inc. (CA, USA; 2009-2010), a nanotechnology and fluorine chemical company. Eventually, Dr. Menaa was appointed Principal Investigator in Hematology and Genomics as a FAPESP-Fellow (São Paulo, Brazil; 2010–2012). During his career, Dr. Menaa also followed complementary formations (e.g. Medecine, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Food Sciences and Technology, Marine Biology, Nano-Biotechnology, Bio-Computation, Bio-Statistics, Business Development and Management, Technological Innovation and Quality). Overall, Dr. Menaa was involved in various R&D projects in multiple areas of medicine/nanomedicine, pharmacy/pharmacology/toxicology, biology, stem cells/tissue engineering, genetics/genomics, fluorine chemistry/biochemistry, biophysics/biophotonics, food science, technology/nanotechnology, and business). His main current focuses are related to preventive, personalized, translational, integrative and nanomedicine, especially in the areas of oncology, regenerative medicine and gerontology, in order to prevent and implement early diagnosis and efficient therapy. Professor Jin-Ming Lin received his BA degree at Fuzhou University in 1984 and received a PhD at Tokyo Metropolitan University in 1997. He had studied and worked in Showa University and Tokyo Metropolitan University during 1992-2002. He was selected as “100 Talented Researcher Program” for Chinese Academy of Sciences at 2001 and worked in Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Science during 2002-2004. He is currently a professor of Tsinghua University since 2004. He is a Deputy General-in-Secretary of Chinese Chemical Society, a member of council of Chinese Society for Chromatography Science, and service as Editorial Board for six international journals. He received more than 10 awards for his contributions in chemiluminescence and separation science. He is the author and co-author of 288 original research papers published in international journals, 28 reviews, 4 books and 41 patents.

Dr. Paraskevas D. Tzanavaras received his PhD in Analytical Chemistry in 2003 from the Department of Chemistry of the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Since 2003 his is a Lecturer of Analytical Chemistry at the same department. His is Editor of the Analytical Chemistry section of the international journal Central European Journal of Chemistry and Assistant Editor on Flow Injection Techniques of Analytical Letters. He has published more than 60 scientific papers in international refereed journals and he is an active reviewer for more than 40 international journals.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ismail Murat Palabiyik graduated from Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ankara and obtained PhD from Department of Analytical Chemistry, Facult of Pharmacy, University of Ankara. Currently, he is working in same department. His current researches are synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles, DNA – drug interactions, investigating of anticancer effects of natural plant compounds, developing analytical techniques for drug analysis from dosage forms and biological fluids using with capillary electrophoresis, high performance liquid chromatography, spectrofluorimetry and UV spectrophotometry. Beside this, for investigating effects of experimental factors on analysis in HPLC and CE methods, he utilized Response Surface Methodology (RSM). Also, he is specialized in chemometry and worked one year in department of pharmacology and studied diabetes treatment. He is a Visiting Scholar, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Faculty of Pharmacy, Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Drug Analysis and worked with Professor Jos Hoogmartens group in liquid chromatographic column characterization. During his MSc and PhD period, he took a fellowship from TÜBİTAK – BİDEB, The Scientific Research and Technological Council of Turkey. His PhD thesis was awarded by University of Ankara. He is an editorial member of Pharmaceutica Analytica Acta and Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs:Open Access. Dr. CAGLAR ANDAC is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Istanbul University. She studied Chemical Engineering, had Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees at Istanbul University, Institute of Health Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Analytical Chemistry on drug analysis in pharmaceutical formulations and biological fluids by spectrophotometric and liquid chromatographic methods. She conducted post-doctoral research at Medical Center of Munich University, Institute of Laboratory Medicine Laboratory of Bio-Separation with a main focus of hyphenation of mass spectrometry with on-line sample processing between the years 2011-2013. She has researches and publications on drug analysis in biological fluids by liquid chromatography mass spectrometry, on-line solid phase extraction coupled liquid chromatography, multidimensional chromatography, spectrophotometry, spectrofluorimetry including validation, degradation and pharmacokinetic studies. She is also serving as reviewer for several reputed journals like Journal of Mass Spectrometry, Journal of Chromatography B, Luminescence, Journal of Fluorescence, Journal of AOAC International, Analytical Methods, Analytical Letters and some others.

Dr. CAGLAR ANDAC is eager to expand on knowledge in the field of Omics through both observation and experimentation methodologies. Her recent research interests are on hyphenated systems, fully automated sample processing, on-line sample processing coupled with liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry, two dimensional and multidimensional chromatography.

Dr Wahajuddin has completed his postdoctoral research in 2014 at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill, NC, USA). He is currently working as Scientist at Pharmacokinetics and Metabolism Division, CSIR Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), Lucknow, India created by Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. He is also working as Assistant Professor, Pharmaceutical Sciences, at Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) and as a Course Coordinator, MS (Pharm) in pharmaceutics, at National Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, Raebareli under the aegis of Dept. of Pharmaceuticals, Govt. of India. He has won many prestigious awards including Young Pharmaceutical Analyst Award 2012 from Indian Drug Manufacturer’s Association, DBT- Cutting-edge Research Enhancement & Scientific Training (DBT-CREST) Award 2011-12 from Department of Biotechnology (Govt. of India), SERB-DST Fast Track Young Scientist Proposal Award 2011 from Dept. of Sc. & Tech. Govt. of India.

His areas of research interest include pharmacokinetics and bio-analysis of anti-malarial and anti-osteoporotic drugs and natural products using liquid chromatographic approaches.
