Dr Haifei Zhang is a senior lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Liverpool. Zhang was educated in chemical engineering for both undergraduate and Master's degrees and obtained a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the Chinese Academy of Science. He has published 90 peer-reviewed research papers with an h-index of 29 and filed 9 international patents as a co-inventor. One of the patents was assigned to Unilever and led to the formation of a spin-out company IOTA Nanosolutions funded through Unilever Venture. The SOS silica patent is currently considered for commercialization by Thermo Fisher Scientific. He won the 12th Detty Memorial Award in 2007 for his innovative work in the manufacture of porous materials and their possible application in chromatography. He has also written 5 book chapters and one book (to be published by Wiley in 2018). Zhang’s main research interests are in porous materials, colloids, carbon materials, and nanostructured materials for separation and energy storage applications.

Prof. Dr. Esra Küpeli Akkol was born in Turkey. She got her Bachelor of Science degree in Faculty of Pharmacy, Gazi University, Turkey, and got her Ph.D. degree in Pharmacognosy Department from the University of Gazi. She is currently a Professor at the Gazi University, Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacognosy. She served in many capacities in her field including service on several editorial boards and numerous review committees for journals such as Journal of Ethnopharmacology, Journal of Pharmacy Sciences, The Internet Journal of Herbal and Plant Medicine, International Journal of Genuine Traditional Medicine, Advances in Pharmacological Sciences, Evidence-Based Complementary Alternative Medicine and The Open Pain Journal. She has conducted 41 projects and 11 theses at Gazi University. She has 158 published articles in SCI International Journals, 13 articles in National Journals, and 10 chapters in international books.

Miloš Netopilík completed his Ph.D. at the age of 30 years from the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry and postdoctoral studies at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and Technical University. Now, he works in the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, and works in the theory of separation. He has published more than 68 papers in reputed journals.

Yuichi Negishi was born in Saitama, Japan, in 1972. He received his Ph.D. in chemistry in 2001 from Keio University. Before joining the Tokyo University of Science in 2008, he was employed at Keio University and at the Institute for Molecular Science (IMS). Since 2013, he has been an Associate Professor at the Tokyo University of Science. He is now a professor at the Tokyo University of Science, Japan. He has over 150 publications that have been cited over 8,000 times. In his publications, 10 papers are/were categorized as Top 1% Cited Papers and 18 papers were selected as Cover Picture of the Journal. His publication H-index is 47. He has been awarded several prizes, including the PCCP Prize (2007), CSJ Award for Young Chemists (2008), Japan Society of Molecular Science Award for Young Chemists (2012), Yagami Prize (2017), and IUPAC Distinguish Award 2018 for Novel Materials and Their Synthesis (2018).

Professor Nour-Eddine ES-SAFI completed his Ph.D. in organic chemistry in 1997 from Mohammed V University of Rabat, Morocco, and postdoctoral studies at the French National Institute for Agricultural Research. He leads the Team of Organic Chemistry and the Physico-Chemical Studies at the Ecole Normale Supérieure, Mohammed V University of Rabat, Morocco where he is currently working as deputy director and a full professor. His research focuses on natural products, especially polyphenols, their structural elucidation, their antioxidant activity, and their role in food technology and human health. He has published many research papers and he is a reviewer for various international scientific journals. He is an Editorial Board Member of various scientific journals and is Editor in Chief of the Green and Sustainable Chemistry journal.
